Hutchinson Builders is Australia’s largest privately-owned construction company and has been building the structures in which Australians live, work, study, shop and play since 1912.
Hutchinson’s operates across a number of sectors, including commercial, residential high-rise, health, education, retail and aged care. With teams located across the country, Hutchies prides itself on partnering with suppliers and using products which are local to the projects wherever possible.
Hutchinson’s utilise their own equipment on all projects, a strategic decision which guarantees quality and provides a more cost-effective service.
Hutchinson’s are also committed to investing in the development of their people with over 120 apprentices and cadets, conducting full in-house training. The organisation employs key tradespeople and Labourers and in doing so, further manage risks which have the ability to impact on quality and delivery.
The organisation is also committed to reducing its environmental footprint, opting for a range of sustainable solutions during all builds and encouraging their sub-constructors and suppliers to do the same.
Hutchies is also committed to the delivery of Green Star rated buildings – one in every 12 Green Star Rated building in Australia was built by Hutchinson Builders.
With a national presence which stretches from Darwin, across to Cairns, south to Hobart and west to the Pilbara in the West, Hutchies is proudly 100% Australian owned.
Hutchinson’s was recognised by the QCF as Corporate Philanthropist of the Year in 2019 with the business supporting more than 200 charities and causes nationally.
Team Leader for the Gold Coast / Tweed region, Paul Hart saying Hutchies are really excited to be involved in the Usher Cup surf contest, an event aimed at assisting in the development of grassroots surfing.
“With the connection our Hutchie team has with surfing and in particular the Southern Gold Coast and Northern Rivers region, our involvement makes a lot of sense,” Hart said.
Mr Hart believes the team Usher Group Managing Director Theodore Vairaktaris has assembled is guaranteed to deliver an outstanding event.
“Sports and business seem a mad mix but success in either requires all the same ingredients,”
“A bit of help early on can create some pretty special results. Supporting grassroots is like supporting a positive culture amongst the community.”
“The Usher Cup ticks all the right boxes for our team. Our support is sincere and we hope this event becomes a fixture for all the boardrider clubs,”
Hutchies is also kindly sponsoring the “Winning Club” award, presented to the boardriders club with the top club male and female competitor scores.
