Founder Dunja Vairaktaris has a passion for creativity and an appreciation of simplicity. She fell in love with the philosophy of yoga while working in the finance and business sector. Now the Croation-born wife and mother-of-two has taken her passion and developed it into a style of teaching that complements Byron Bay’s idyllic seaside vista and slow-living mentality.
Having supported the Animal Welfare League, Liberation Larder and various animal shelters in the past, it is clear Dunja shares her husband Usher Group MD Theodore Vairaktaris’ innate passion for supporting charities.
“We have a strong set of core family values that we implement into our personal and business lives.”
Whilst the Usher Cup is a new venture for Space Yoga, Dunja stresses the importance of supporting grassroots sport in helping young athletes succeed.
“It was only logical to get behind an event like this. Supporting the community is so important because we wouldn’t be where we are as business owners without them.”
“Nobody becomes a champion overnight. Everyone needs support to break into an industry and if we don’t support our grassroots athletes, we can’t enjoy their feats as champions.”
